Bamboo Mansion (Longchuan Market)
The Bamboo House is hidden in a corner of Longchuan Water Street, with stone beasts in front of the gate and an auspicious pavilion outside the Yuanmen Cave. Here, bamboo is used as the "bamboo", which means that the ancient village is like a boat, and the anchor is fixed with bamboo. The small courtyard is quiet and serene, and Huiyun is leisurely.

Attraction Overview
At the entrance stand two guardian creatures. The one on the left is a stone lion; the other has the head of a toad, the neck of a snake and the body of a lion. Traditional references associate such figures with the Nine Sons of the Dragon, each endowed with different qualities and placed on musical instruments, weapons, roof ridges, bells, steles and other architectural elements. These two guardians represent Suanni, associated with seated lions, and Bi-an, associated with justice and legal affairs.
Bamboo is admired for its graceful form and upright character. Su Shi famously wrote that one may live without meat, but not without bamboo. Because bamboo develops its joints before emerging from the soil, it became a reminder that men of the Hu clan should uphold principle and women should cherish virtue.
